Hang in, bold. It really does get not only better but so MUCH better & so worth it. You are going to be so proud of yourself for getting throught his tough time. I agree that you should not start an NRT now unless you really, really have to. You've made it past the physical part, why go backwards? I also agree that you have to reward yourself for what you've already accomplicshed. 7 days is no small thing. Be good to yourself. Bold, Listen: I know what your saying. I can't tell you the times I wanted to just give up because I felt empty. Actually....I felt just plain...."NOT HAPPY". You don't know "you" right now. The "old smoking you" is gone and the "new non smoking you" is in the making. It's a rotten IMPATIENT feeling waiting for the new us to be formed. But....There's no rushing that process. Bold, it is natural for us to want to revert to what we knew. Even though we realize the "old smoking us" isn't good...it still remains our "comfort zone". (for now) Yes... it is a long battle and I was skeptical when listening to those with great big stats telling me it will get better and freedom was worth it. I AM HERE TO TELL YOU...THEY WERE 100% RIGHT. It will take you a few more weeks...maybe a few more months....who knows....."actually in the scheme of things...who cares. But it isn't forever. A small price to pay for the rest of your life being free and a new creature. Please hang in there..suffer if you have to. There isn't anyonther way to get the prize. I'm here to tell you...it's there. You are doing so very well. In your misery you just don't see it like we do. Eventually you will. Bold Hang in there. it DOES get better. Take it one crave at a time. Each one only lasts a few minutes. Breathe! Drink water. Ice cold water. Do something else. How can you distract yourself? Exercise. Walk, lift wieghts. And let yourself sleep. Your body is healing. It needs to rest. Pop a DVD in, relax. Hell week is over, now you're in heck week...after that things should be noticeably better. You're fighting for your life, buddy. Don't give up. Good for you for posting instead of lighting up. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 133 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,320 Amount Saved: $904.40 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 14 Mins: 11 Seconds: 56

NO GUM!!! Stay strong, if you hit the gum then thats just another thing you'll have to quit later. I understand how you feel, I'm 61 days in and I still have those feelings sometimes. Find a distraction, chew sugarless gum, walk, write, do something, but don't put any nicotine into your body. Boldinaz, Hang in there. If possible, try not to reintroduce nicotine back into your system. We strongly recommend you begin implementing a reward system (look in your passport for further information)to help you stay motivated and fill that empty void. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Use NRT if you have to but I recommend toughing it out. There is something very satisfying about relying on nothing other than your own will. You want it boldinaz, I can tell that. 7 days is immense, be proud of that and turn it into 8, without any nicotine, and be prouder still! Good Luck :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1171 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 23,420 Amount Saved: 5,855.00 Life Gained: Days: 188 Hrs: 2 Mins: 3 Seconds: 35
