Bobbi, Many quitters do experience a temporary lack of concentration. Until it passes, try breaking up any task that require focus into smaller parts, taking breaks in between. Danielle - Bilingual Support Specialist

ok, so even if i am the only one, i am a couch potato who is moving. Today I bodyboarded for 45 minutes. The waves were bigger than the ones I have been riding lately, but not as big as they used to be. I let myself get so out of shape, but my REAL body is letting me know it's still in there somewhere. it was soooo fun! -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 82 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,280 Amount Saved: $557.60 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 10 Mins: 11 Seconds: 36

OK, I am starting this thread up again....let's motivate each other, all you wonderful nonsmokers out there! Yesterday I dropped my car off and took the bus home. Well, close to home....I walked from the bus stop, including a BIG hill. A few months ago I couldn't have done that...partly because of the smoking, partly because of the weight. Now, even tho I have too many extra pounds, I managed it just fine. I have been attacking the neglected weeds in my jungle....rip and tear, that's my motto... Been getting to the beach 4-5 times a week. Depending on the waves, have been bodyboarding. Please add your fitness activities everyone...it is motivating..at least to me -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 80 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,200 Amount Saved: $544.00 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 6 Mins: 46 Seconds: 27

Ok..I did good Tues I walked around an elem school and went around 4 times and did it in about 40 mins. Today I walked around the exact same way and walked it in a little over 30 mins. My heart was beating, I was sweating. It felt great!I feel bad for smokers--they don't know what they are missing! OK, had to do something active before I posted again. Back to the garden after a couple days of couch potatoing. Actually, I work pretty intensively Monday thru Wednesday, so unless I get a really good night's sleep Sun-Tues, I don't seem to be up for much physicl activity. Bad for the metabolism. I bet mine doesn't know what to do...slow down, speed up, or what..lol But, I figure however much I do is better than nothing. How are all of you doing??????????????? -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 56 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,240 Amount Saved: $380.80 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 22 Mins: 7 Seconds: 42

Lainey, Don't get too discouraged. It is recommended that women do not weigh themselves daily as it can fluctuate with a gain or loss of up to 3 pounds due to hormones and water retention. Keep walking! Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Just keep on walking Lainey....one pound is nothing compared to the good you're doing for your body by not smoking --aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 54 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,188 Amount Saved: $367.2 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 12 Mins: 40 Seconds: 24
