Hey Lainey, I'm late on parade for this one and haven't read all the responses but my first reaction was that we all feel miserable occasionally and this may have nothing whatsoever to do with smoking/quitting. What I do know is that 106 days is very commendable and I'm pleased to see that you are feeling better already - well handled!! Best Wishes :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1129 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 22,580 Amount Saved: 5,645.00 Life Gained: Days: 181 Hrs: 7 Mins: 42 Seconds: 14

Thanks Josie, and all. Lamplighter, we are doing great! Thank you! MammaKitty, I am on Vitamin B compex, it helps alot! Thanks for sending your hugs! Thanks Phil, I try not to blame Nic for much anymore because it has been long enough, but never ever was this emotional before I quit! I do feel better today! Must have been the Anniversary Hit! But the best part is smoking didn't even come in to question, and that is the wonderful news of the day! Onward and upward! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 107 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,675 Amount Saved: $1,128.85 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 2 Mins: 45 Seconds: 44

Glad to see your morning is going better. I have never made it to 100 yet, but I have read about the "100 day" :eg: You are so right whatever you go though, someone else has experience the the same. Good place to come and good place to share. We can do this ;p Keep the Quit Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 51 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 510 Amount Saved: $153.00 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 21 Mins: 54 Seconds: 46

Dear Lainey, Just sending some love to ward off any blues... You do so much for all of us. Even this is a gift, to help us be prepared and know that even the best of us can still get the blues in our new and better lives. Hang in there... I did see some sugarfree creamsicles at the local grocery store yesterday:) Also want to mention that beefing up on your vitamin Bs might help. (hmmm. that doesn't look right. Looks like BS, but I mean B. I suppose both types could be benificial:) Here's to much better days ahead! -mamakitty My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 135 Amount Saved: $31.50 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 23 Mins: 10 Seconds: 1

Lainey, yes... I have had some bad days. Recently I've had a few days where I was reaching for that cigarette that wasn't there. I mean 'physically' reaching out for it! It's disconcerting. It's frustrating. But it's not that I haven't dealt with worse, because I have. The first 6 weeks or so were worse...at times, much worse. It's just that over time... it can wear away at you. And every time the craving returns...even though they're not as strong as they once were, sometimes it seems that they're worse, just because we feel so fatigued because of the ongoing nature of the recovery. It sometimes feels like we're going to be fighting this battle forever. But we're not. It's getting easier, and we're becoming more confident and more at peace with being non-smokers. It's natural for us to compare todays experience with our experience of a few days ago... or last week. But our adaptation to this new life is slower than that. We should be comparing today with 2 months ago... three months ago. We are doing better... much better! And we need to put the emphasis and the focus on the positive changes, rather than allowing ourselves to key in on some tough or frustrating moments that still happen within us. We're OK, Lainey. You're OK. You've made huge progress. Don't allow a few ongoing flare-ups to rob you of that fact, or of enjoying the new life you're forging for yourself. We're here, Lainey!! Just call whenever you need help! We'll get through this together!
