Thanks for the reply Working on it.I didn't really cut back before I quit but I was on antibiotics
for a lung infection about a month before maybe that had cleared my lungs a bit.

Hi Sly,

I didn't go through any of the "hack up a bunch of brown stuff" episodes, either. Nor did I get the light-headedness that some people experience in the first few days. I attributed my fewer symptoms to the fact that my reduction in cigarettes was so gradual. There may have been incremental changes during my incremental quit that I didn't notice. Had you aready cut way down before quitting?

Sly,

Yes, every mind and body are different!  The reactions your mind and body will have when you quit can be different for you.

Don't forget if you experience a symptom later on in your quit and its persists, don't hesitate to call your doctor!

I am wondering if I should have done some kind of cleanse?
I am at 168 days and have not coughed anything from my lungs.
I would think after 40 years of smoking there would be something ??
Is this one of those some do and some don't things ?
