Answer to some which we have sought

Actually...I wish it was 100 % but 85 % isn't bad....I was thinking that once the year is done, I have an 85 % chance of succeeding. Much better than some of the other stats that get thrown around. Plus they didn't have SCC back then......maybe we can improve those percentages! Hey gang, I found some very interesting stats on quitting odds and other stuff. Since I have just a wee bit of time, Im making dinner; I will post the quitting odds now and the other stuff on some other days. These stats say that it isnt over until it is over. Here it is: Average number of attempts required for successful smoking cessation 7. (You dont need 7, I did it in 1) Chances of staying smoke-free after quitting for one year: 85 percent ( Oh my, God never, would have thought that the percentage would be quit so low.) Check this out: After five years: 97 percent Chance of relapse after 2-6 years: 2 percent to 4 percent each year After 10 years: less than 1 percent So my quit buddies, my oh my, we do have our work cut out for us! Hey there, Those were the averages and that does not really me squat. I prefer the median method where half the people are above or below. So far those like Sillyme, Windy and others have the correct mindset attitute, and one year is no problem. By the way 6 months is great and I see 12 months the same as 6 months; t is over! You scope the problem and you woke it. Year one 85 people out of 100 never go back; that is very good. You guys will be in that 85 group . I know and you know. The great quitters on SCC. God bless all of you!
