Hi Christine12,

I am sorry to hear you can't sleep. That is a very challenging withdrawal symptom to deal with. Have you considered talking to your doctor about quitting smoking? Your doctor may be able to offer you some options.

Are you still having difficulty sleeping? How are you doing today?

Hi Christine12,
Sleeplessness is one of the many side affects of quitting smoking. Congratulations on working up the nerve to actually try to quit, that's a BIG step. Are you going cold turkey, or are you using nicotine replacement? It's tough at the beginning but it will get better with time. Hope you were prepared for your quit journey. Have you went through the program at the top of the page? It can you prepare you for the pitfalls that are ahead of you. Stay strong and don't give up. If you slip, get right back on your quit and make note of why you slipped so you can try and avoid it the next time. There's lots of good information in these forums to help you, read read read!

This is my first quit ever (in 32 years). I am into my second day. I can't sleep.

I'm waiting for 430 to come around so I can make some coffee.

I m not even going to try to sleep anymore tonight. It's pointless.
