Wow, 2 years!  Congrats!   I can't wait for that milestone in my quit.  It must feel good to be free of the cigarettes' hold on you.  I know it's early for me (13 days) but I can look forward to what you have done and say "I can do that".

Get happy with your freedom and celebrate!  One day at a time and I will not smoke today.

On August 19, two years ago today, at this very moment I smoked my last cigarette, just before I went to bed.  My doctor told me the day before that I needed to make a decision.  I had a blood clot in my leg and a non-cancerous tumor at the base of my spine.  I could take Coumadin daily, have blood tests 2 times a week, enjoy a restricted diet with no green vegetables, and see her for weekly office visits for the rest of my life.  Or quit smoking.  It really wasn't a tough decision.  It was my life that was in jeopardy.  I decided to quit smoking.  When I woke up on August 20, I did a search and found this site.  The rest is history.

If you are thinking about quitting, just do it.  Its time.  Its your time.  You can do it!  Smoke your last cigarette now.  Throw the rest away.  Throw away your ashtrays and cigarette lighters too.  It might be hard, but anything worth having is worth fighting for.  Tomorrow morning set your quit date to August 20, 2010.  Follow the program.  Don't ever smoke again.  Then next year we can celebrate an anniversary together!

Cigarettes Not Smoked: 29,160
Amount Saved: $7,290.00
