Congratulatins on your decision to quit, Singlepickle and congrats on almost three days down. You will find a ton of great info here from a bunch of really great quitters. My biggest crave aid (besides this site) was water. Lots and lots of water. Hang tough. It's a great thing to quit smoking! Singlepickle... LOVE THE NAME! Peppermints were what I used to quit too. I still have a bag full in my desk, car and a couple in my purse. Carry them with me everywhere I go. Drink plenty of ice water and remember to take it just five minutes at a time. Congratulations on your decision to quit again. You will find all kinds of support here. This is an awesome place to quit. Single, Welcome!!!! This is a wonderful group. Two days is a huge start and you should be very proud. The days quit mount fast. In a few days your battle will reverse it self from a physical one to a mental focus. Each and every day be glad you didn't smoke. This isn't a torture event in your life.....but a healing one. "YOU DON'T HAVE TO QUIT.....YOU GET TO QUIT." That is so true. Keep us posted...and reward yourself with a small treat. Your brain was use to rewards all day long. It still wants those rewards. Buy a cup of latte...and new novel to read....or a small item. It does amazing things for your quit.
