Hi Kiki, I think you will find this site very helpful. It has been for me. Post what you feel like and read, read, read. I'm on day 14 today and I am working hard to keep a positive attitude and remembering that smoking is not going to solve any problem I have. It creats problems for me. I have gotten through some of my worst craves by reading and posting on this site. Welcome!! I have faith in our ability to be non-smokers. My best to you, Blue Cloud My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 280 Amount Saved: $56.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 23 Mins: 32 Seconds: 39

KiKi, Welcome to SSC. Stay positive. You will find the battle is very mental. Your first week will be the hardest and it is called Hell week. You can do it. It isn't that bad if you really want to quit. Come here often. Read everything you can at this site. Do internet research on smoking. The more ammunition you have the better. Make a list of reasons you want to quit. Post to us what you are feeling and going through Talk to you later! Your gonna do great. Welcome aboard Kiki. Yeah a lot of really cool people. My wife Susan and I quit a while ago and also used Chantix. We are both now off of the Chantix and the cigarettes. Don't skip the steps like writing the list of reasons you want to quit etc. Follow the plan and its a walk in the park! Hi, Kiki, welcome to the site and congratulations on your decision to live free! My buddy Lainey pretty much said it all, except 1 important thing: don't forget to reward your small victories as you go along. It makes a difference. Good luck to you, check in often! Hi Kiki, You have come to the best place for help! So you have been reading, have you done the program? It will help. Its normal to feel sad, you will probably also be tired and foggy for the next few days as you go thru this, and excited too. It is a big change. Congratulations on quitting and welcome to the SSC! Have your coping tools ready, candy, straws, whatever it takes to keep you busy and occupied. Change some of your routine too, it helps alot! Post when you need us, we are here! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 135 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,375 Amount Saved: $1,424.25 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 12 Mins: 46 Seconds: 0

Hi, I'm Kiki. I am on day 1 of my latest and final quit (I hope). I've been reading through the site for a week or so and decided to post today. I have tried quitting in the past to many times to count. I am now using Chantix. I've been on that for a week now and have had no real side effects except for maybe my dreams are more vivid. But it really seems to help, don't get me wrong it's still hard and cigs are on my mind but not as bad as they have been in the past. I'm 31 and have been smoking since I was 19. My husband used to smoke and he successfully quit almost 2 years ago, but he now dips but at least there will be no smoke around me. At work only 2 people smoke...only 1 now and he was someone I didn't ever talk to so that isn't something I'm going to miss. Right now I actually feel pretty good but kinda of sad...like I have given up my favorite past time. I need to fill that void with something actually fun! Hope to talk to you all soon. Kiki
