Low Level Laser Therapy

14 years ago 0 1904 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I've tried just about everything besides that. Herbs probably made me a healthier smoker. With hypnosis, I wasn't even out the door before I started wondering where the near store was located. Now I used acupuncture, but it was after I had already been quit for 6 months. I did that more than 20 years ago. I don't know if it helped, but it didn't hurt anything and during the sessions I was also treated for appetite. I was trying to lose weight.

My Mileage:

My Quit Date: 5/1/2009

Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,204

Hi Mike
I did laser therapy a couple of times, only lasted a short time. I think I have done just about everything
there is for quitting smoking. Spent more on trying to quit smoking than on buying the cigarette's. Not sure
if you heard of the shot but did that twice in the same year. $500.00 that cost, laser therapy 160.00 each time,
zyban, the new one slip my mind. You name it, always end up with the excuse to start again. But things work differently
for everybody. DJ

I did it Mike, felt great for a couple of weeks, but then the demons returned and I was back to puffing away after a month. The laser will make you feel better for a short time. They hit you in certain spots to release chemicals in the brain to make you feel better. At one point in the session, this lady was hitting me around the thumb and I was actually laughing because of it. It was odd to say the least. But on the other hand, I personally think we need to suffer a bit to appreciate what we're doing for ourselves and never fall back into our old habits again.

Hi Mikek,

There are many methods that we call "alternative therapies" These include the use of herbal products, acupuncture, acupressure, laser therapy, hypnosis and vitamin treatments.  Although these methods sometimes work for people, at this point, there overall effectiveness has not been proven, other than increasing a person’s confidence to quit.   If you are thinking of trying one of these, we strongly recommend that you consult your doctor and also follow the proven steps to quitting, such as those found in this program.
