How Day 3 went

18 years ago 0 1904 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Day two was worse for me in terms of physical withdrawals. Psychological withdrawals became difficult days 9 and 10. Tina, Your're coming along so well in your quit. Congrats! Ah yes, the screams of pain. Luckily in time, we forget, just like in time, this whole quit will be nothing more than a vague memory, and we'll never have to go through it again. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 30 Amount Saved: $11.25 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 28 Seconds: 29

I woke up terrified yesterday. I thought to myself "It's Dreaded Day 3" The worst day of all of. How am I going to make it? Physical Cravings The physical cravings seemed a little farther arpart. Like maybe every 90min instead of every 60min And they seemed more like screams of pain they didn't last very long but when I had them it was literaly all I could do not to scream lol ***After reading this I realized it sounds as if I am discribing labor pains and in a way I guess I am. And like labor pains, if I understand them I can control them and I can remind myself that they will not last forever and the reward is ever so worth it....a new life :) Thoughts about smoking I thought about cigarettes less and less during the day. I actualy made it through this new show called Eureka and didn't think of a cigarette once during the whole show lol and I think it was like a 2hr episode :) Reward I bought myself two smiley face mylar ballons :) :) . They remind me of all of you who quit before me and those who will quit after me. Over all It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. Everyday seems to be getting easier. I don't know if it's me or my attitude or what, but I really don't feel like I'm going crazy or want to scream or just can't take it any more. I'm looking forward to another smoke-free-day! Hope everyone else is too :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 128 Amount Saved: $21 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 28 Seconds: 22

Shevie, I forgot about that. He did bring me a reward...it was another ice cream bar. This time it was something called a Turtle. It had carmel and pecans and it was soo good. But he needs to find a new reward or I'll have to find a "Stop Gaining Weight Center" LOL My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 158 Amount Saved: $28 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 5 Seconds: 54

Tina I also described it as like Labour pains. That is exactly what it felt like. I am so glad that i am over that now. Congratulations on your three days! I felt like time went slower in that first week, than it does at any other time (there again time went slow when I was in labour too) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 38 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 968 Amount Saved: 285 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 9 Mins: 55 Seconds: 6

Hi, Tina. Congratulations on 3 smoke-free days. :) :) ;) I like the labor pains analogy (not that I know anything about them). Labor pains, rebirth, they seem so appropriate. What? No reward from hubby?!? Need to let him know he's falling down on the job! LOL Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 424 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,489 Amount Saved: $1611.2 Life Gained: Days: 79 Hrs: 3 Mins: 14 Seconds: 3
