Hi Mookie. Hang in there. It's been tough for me too. This morning I felt angry at the world. It didn't last too long and now I'm good. That little voice in our heads (the nicodemon)is trying to get us to beleive we are too weak to keep this quit. I will not give into that little booger this time. I know if I fail this quit the next quit will be just as hard and I am determined to win the battle now not later!!. Reading this site and having all the support of people who have been down the road I'm headed, helps me to keep my head clear. Good luck to all of us. Drink gallons of water if that is what you need - I did and I was that busy going to the loo I hadn't time to think about my quit. Take a nap if needed or even two naps, go for a walk, scram and shout on here - we'll listen and not judge - do whatever it takes to get through this. You have started a great journey that will bring great rewards Good luck Joanne My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 30 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 764 Amount Saved: 150 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 16 Mins: 41 Seconds: 7

Mookie - Hang in there! The first week is not called Hell week for nothing! This is not an easy road that we have chosen as non-smokers. If it was, everyone could do it. Be strong, my friend, take plenty of naps, do you do yoga?? Now might be a good time to start. Deep breathing, lying down in a dark room and trying to relax your toes up to your brain will help you. It just takes 5 minutes to become totally relaxed. It works I promise! We're behind you all the way!! Island Girl

I'm struggling but hanging in there...just barely. I keep telling myself this will pass. I vented earlier but I think I used the same heading and topic I used earlier but I hope someone will answer back. I dont usually feel so much anxiety and I'm not liking it very much. I will continue drinking water and maybe take a nap. This quit is my worse one ever. I cant believe i keep putting myself through this hell. This time I will stay with this group just like going to a AA Meeting because I obviously need it. I am full of anger and hostility right now. Best i stay to myself. Be back after my nap.
