Smoke-free firsts

This is my first PMS smoke-free and it's just like being at day 6 all over again (w/ bad PMS). The good thing is that I have more practice in not smoking than I did on day 6. I'm none too cozy inside right now, though. Sleeping well has been difficult. Either I wake up several times having to pee or I wake up and stay wake because I've broken out with itchy hives over my achilles tendons. Depends on how much water I've had to drink that day. Back to firsts - I felt really strange the first time I went somewhere with my husband, too. We used to go places and sit in the car and smoke before we went in. We called it the "Car Party". No more car parties, or maybe we could think of something else to do...... Firsts are really something. My brain takes note of those things and tells me what I am supposed to be doing and then I have to say to myself "no, I need to do something else." I think that a lot. That will get less frequent. Just needed to post - needed a meeting. gpw Just for today I'm smoke-free.

Hi GPS: There are so many FIRSTS that we have to meet head on after we quit smoking. I've been quit for quite some time and I still encounter situations that are firsts and it kinda throws me. We spent a lot of time smoking which covered up a lot of feelings and now we must face those emotions and deal with them. It takes some practice. Good luck in your quit and remember Not One Puff Ever (N.O.P.E.) GPS, Thanks for venting :) That is what we are here for! Car parties..really! Hang tough and know that you are not alone. Combat your PMS with exercise or house cleaning to keep your mind off the craves and the PMS. Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
