Just to let you know

I have been very positive so far in this, but wanted to let you all know that I am having a harder time today then I have been. There have been several times today when I would have liked to smoke. Don't know if it is because things just happened today that aggravated me or if I am just aggravated by things today because of the not smoking. Anyway, I instead found other things to do to keep my mind off of it, but even while typing this I still have the craving. It even crossed my mind to get an inhaler, but I don't want to do that. After going this long without the act of smoking I want to keep it this way. I have been really positive on here and I just wanted to show that even with that it can still hit you. I am still not going to smoke though, think I will take a bath instead. Not a total superwomen after all. But Still IWIN My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 12 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 257 Amount Saved: $48 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 10 Mins: 39 Seconds: 14

Iwin, A positive attitude will get you VERY far, but unfortunately, it doesn't eliminate cravings totally... we can only wish! But it sounds like you're doing all the right things... coming here, distracting yourself, rewarding yourself with a nice, hot, relaxing bath. Be good to yourself right now... you're in Heck week, which I found to be far worse than Hell week. BUT, you're almost out of it, so hooray for that!!! You're doing awesome in your quit. Hang in there and keep that attitude! Crave the Quit! IWIN, Keep it up. I'm sure you've been told a million times, but the first few weeks are the toughest. Those moments will come for a while, and usually when you least expect it, but the ones you're having now in the first weeks are the worst by far. Hurray for the bath diversion. I spent so much time in the bathtub during the first month of my quit that I usually looked like a prune. But hey, you'll smell fantastic! Hang in there. ~fresh air My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/3/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 234 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,046 Amount Saved: $1170 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 17 Mins: 18 Seconds: 1
