The Bracelet

Thank you for the response. I would like to share the meaning of some of the charms. I just feel it speaks to me in every part of my life and sure does apply to my quit. The xxxx is a sub for the name of the organization. 1. Butterfly:"The metamorphosis began quickly and has continued to this day." I know for me once I started this journey things changed even though I slipped a lots I never could smoke comfortably again. Think about it. 2. Key: "I've found the key to better health, greater confidence and strength-not just in my body, but in spirit, as well." Everything has been and has happened for me, one day at a time. 3. Circle: "Along the way, I've made a new circle of friends who share my passion for xxxxx. As a matter of fact, I've borrowed willpower from a friend on several occasions. There are 5 more charms and each one I can use with my quit, with my work out program, my recovery in AA and just plain everyday living. Giving credit to Rusty, she told me a long time ago about her bracelet, I have tried others, but this one spoke to me. Thanks Rusty. I too believe that things happen for a reason ! You are an absolute inspiration :) I also wear a bracelet.. it's silver and there are little angels all linked to one another. I put it on on the day of my quit and I wear it all of the time. It's as though each angel is watching over me :) Psychologically it's working for me :) Keep up the fantastic quit Sparky .. you are an amazing woman ! Woo hoo, Sparky!!!! You are my hero. You pulled through and you are not smoking!!!!! The bracelet? I think everything happens for a reason and you were meant to have that bracelet and wear it to remind yourself that you are a non smoker. Now and forever. So glad to hear from you. Glad you are smoke free... and we have missed you. I have one small tatoo.. I told my husband I was going to get another (he doesn't care for tatoo's) I told him I was going to have N O P E on my arm. I like the idea of a charm bracelet.. and you could pick special charms for the site, milestones.. wow what a GREAT idea. Congrats... and I guess. the urges. or thoughts. r going to stick around for awhile. they are manageable... but glad I am aware and have answers... and my "guard up" My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/10/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 57 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 969 Amount Saved: $193.80 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 6 Mins: 53 Seconds: 23

Hey Sparky Well as you know, the demon was sweet talkin me just a couple of weeks ago, and I screamed at the top of my lungs 'I'M NOT GOING TO SMOKE'. Seemed to work. Those thoughts have been quiet ever since. Don't know if you remember, but when I quit last July, I went on a camping trip on week #2, and what did I buy before that for my 1 week anny.....a bracelet. It helped to remember that there was alot of people here on the SSC that were my cement, and there was no way I was letting them down....or me....not again! It was bad back at the beginning. I know I don't have to tell you. And as much as it seems like it's never going to go away, you know it has gotten a lot better. It's a phase. Yep, there has been many, but it is all part of the process, and both of us are going to get to the other side this time. For once, it's true....the grass is greener on the non-smoking side. Love you friend H.A.L.T. and don't smoke.
