Hi Aloha, Here is what i mostly like about being smoke-free... I like the freedom. But most of all i LOVE how i feel about myself. I am SOOOOO happy that i'm finally in control of my life and the fact that i'm not giving power to those nicotine sticks anymore. STef, It's pretty common......people forgetting us. They think after a couple of weeks the ordeal is all over and we don't need pats on the back anymore. So here is a pat on your back...and a big ((((((hug)))) for a job well done. I know I sure could use one. Stef - Wow, did you hit the nail on the head with this one. You are absolutely right about the nonsmokers in our lives thinking we have made it becuase we are quit for a few weeks. They have no idea the depth of this addiction. You also hit the nail on the head about this site. We are all here for each other and know what each other are going through. By the way congrats on the month - YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey Stef, Boy I remember that part where everyone thought I should be over the quit and no one understood what was happening. Quitting is a process we go through in stages. You are moving right along. This site made the difference for many of us. I still keep in touch with several people I quit with. We have special places in each others lives. We dont' see each other and some of us haven't ever met but we know where we've been and we traveled that quit road together. I think we all have a special bond. Keep doing what you are doing and anytime you need a friend that understands, just reach for that keyboard. We are only a keystroke away day and night. Hi stef, there is always going to be people here who care very much about your quit, thats one of the reasons i like it here, i remember people that stayed on on my butt about quitting that told me later on, i cant believe you still talk about this!! well i would say well iam proud, and you talked about it enough while i was doing smoking, they just have to listen to me LOL. We care and if your here 10 years from now we will still care :):) Have a great day Tresa My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/8/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1828 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 36,560 Amount Saved: $6,398.00 Life Gained: Days: 257 Hrs: 17 Mins: 58 Seconds: 47
