"A Senate committee approved legislation that would allow federal regulation of cigarettes for the first time. The bill, which the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee approved 13 to 8, would require the Food and Drug Administration to restrict tobacco advertising, regulate warning labels and act to remove hazardous ingredients from cigarettes. The agency would also be given the authority to set standards for products that tobacco companies advertise as reduced risk products."
It is about time our government listened to the people and enacted a bill to regulate the sale, use and content of cigarettes. I for one am glad to see this happen..........finally
