Guys... Golly.... I have had a bad fibromyalgia....and arthritis flare up. Since last year I get really bad. I have tried medications...but I over react to them. I feel these doctors just want to lay lots of pills on you. If it was up to them I would be on nuro blockers....muscle relaxers...meds for blood pressure that was raised because of the medications...and anxiety pills......autoimmune suppresants....yadda yadda... Basically I went a more natural route. Quiting smoking...organic foods..some vitimins and herbs. Not that all that worked .....mind you. ..but I'm sure it is the healthy thing to do. Sooooooooooooo long story long the Rhumy specialist put me on this new med called LYRICA. I just did research on it. YIKES I am soooooooooooooooooo spaced out that I am as high as a kite. This is worse than getting drunk. Now I know why they say don't drink when you quit smoking. I'm drunk..... not on alcohol..but these pills. I am so spaced out that I don't care about anything and nothing seems bad. I swear that if I had taken this med even a few weeks ago I would have smoked. I would have sat on my patio high and ruined my quit and not even cared. This stuff makes you not care about anything. I know this sounds silly......but this was a REAL TEST for me and I didn't smoke. I'm gonna sleep this stuff off....that is if I can even walk to my bed steady. Besides.... this med (lyrica) is suspose to really pile on the weight. Something that would GREATLY disturb me. NO way... no how. There has to be some other med to help me. Thanks for listening. I just wanted to brag that I didn't smoke even when I'm flying high. Your talking a girl that never did anything but smoke. No drugs....pot...nothing...EVER. So this is what it's like. Flying high Mercy..me My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 189 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,780 Amount Saved: $844.83 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 21 Mins: 53 Seconds: 6
