back from family vacation

Welcome back!! I am glad you had a good vacation :) That is my fave thing btw, being in a meeting and not jonesing for a ciggie. I love that. I see others come in late, because they had their ciggie before the meeting or we lose their attention because they are focused on the next break, etc... and I remember those days and am so glad I don't have that issue anymore. Thanks for the welcome back. I was traveling with some smokers by airplane. It was a 3 hour flight. One of the men kept saying, "I am dying for a cigarette". Then, they could not even help us at the baggage claim. They both had to go outside FIRST thing to have a smoke. I do remember those days. Then, we were driving back to Grandpa's house; we were all tired and hungry; one person..."can you stop at the gas station so i can get cigarettes"? everyone groaned..they just wanted to get home...it was a big hassle. I laid on the beach at Lake Michigan, very relaxed, not craving a smoke. I played volleyball without getting totally winded. There was a couple of times, sitting around a bonfire that i got some cravings to smoke. But, now that I have come to the crystal clear realization that I can not "have just one", it was pretty easy to dismiss the idea of having a cig. There were two social smokers in our group. They did not smoke all day long, until the bonfire at night; and I watched the next morning..neither one of them smoked that day. I found myself kind of envying those people, but, I can not smoke how they smoke. I smoked through thick and thin, health and sickness, all day, every day. I would say that my vacation was much more enjoyable without the hassle of getting that nicotine fix. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 62 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,488 Amount Saved: $310.00 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 14 Mins: 26 Seconds: 19

New me, Welcome back! Happy to hear you had a nice smoke free vacation! Was this your first one? Notice any differences between being a smoker and now a non-smoker on vacation? Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Well, I am back from a family reunion/vacation. AND...not ONE PUFF! There were lots of smokers around, but I did not smoke. I am still relying on the lozenges, so that is the next step. Gotta go to work. Have a great smoke free day. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 61 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,464 Amount Saved: $305.00 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 11 Mins: 12 Seconds: 36
