Shakes um, 50 minutes on the elliptical is a reward? I guess it could be...giving your body health and all that I just got back from new Orleans Jazz fest....was great, but crowded this year. I was thinking of another music fest for next year. Maybe it will be Chicago. Gonna go look that one up right now. I love Chicago blues. Yes! Hawaii as a reward! I'll show you some of my favorite spots if you come to Oahu -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 50 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,028 Amount Saved: $340 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 23 Mins: 27 Seconds: 38

I just got back from the gym. 50 minutes on the eliptical; burned 730 calories! I'm due for a reward! I think I will let myself go out tonight after my show for one beer. But I'll take my trusty pal, Mark with me. He's my rock. He gets it and will wisk me away if I'm in trouble. Music? In Chicago? Oh yeah. It's a great city for that. June 7th is BluesFest, which is amazing here. And the 8th is my birthday. Gotta do something cool! I'm still sorting out the small multi-daily rewards for myself. I've been able to keep my weight steady through this quit by busting my ass and eating right most of the time. Soda is the bane of my existance! Well, my second bane...second to cigarettes! Anyway, not sure what treats are in store. I do sleep in whenever possible! And I love to sit alone and do a crossword or take in a netfix. I already do this stuff daily. It's hard to consider it a reward. I consider it sanity. ;) Soon it'll be beach going weather here. The Lakeshore is gorgeous in the summer! But no body-surfing. God I'd love to go to Hawaii! Maybe that should be, like, my two year reward or something. I'll start putting money away now! --Shakes My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 35 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 716 Amount Saved: $315 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 12 Mins: 25 Seconds: 56

I like taking the time I would have used smoking....about an hour or two a day! Sheesh!....to do something I want to do...and not feeling guilty about it. Tomorrow I'm going to go to the beach and hopefully bodyboard...waves permitting. What did u figure out, Shakes? Is there any free music there? It's nice to go places now where u don't have to worry about finding a place to smoke. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 49 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,988 Amount Saved: $333.2 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 20 Mins: 13 Seconds: 4

Shakes, This is a great way to validate your quit! There are many ideas that are free and rewarding! Try a totally relaxing evening to yourself, long hot bath or shower, good book or favorite T.V., show and make sure you get to sleep in late! Come on in and share everyone! Hey everybody, I just finished five weeks smoke free! And I'm thinkin' rewards are good. I've read a lot of posts that touch on/mention rewards. What are some of you doing to reward yourselves? I'm completely broke (I'm an actor!) and I'm pretty busy. Thoughts? --Shakes My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 35 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 713 Amount Saved: $315 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 11 Mins: 58 Seconds: 36
