Here I sit, watching my associates going out for a cigarette, and I want to join them. But instead I sit here contemplating what we REALLY have in common: 1. We smoke 2. We stink 3. We associate with the same 10 people HMMM now as a non-smoker let me think how we are alike 1. They smoke - I don't 2. They Stink - I smell pretty dang good 3. They associate with 9 people, and I have the whole world and my family to associate with... Wonder who is winning, yep I am. If you think about it, is that demon really our friend.. 1. Oh yes he is forever present - always telling you that you need him. But does he wash your clothes to get rid of the stink does he brush your teeth and buy you mouthwash to get rid of the smell? does he buy your medications when you get sick because of him? I didn't think so. So I know where my true friends are, I know who they are, I know that by quitting smoking I have become my first and foremost true friend. Jan - One day at a Time, One minute at a time...but for this moment I know and can proudly say - I am smoke free.
