prgirl, Welcome to The Depression Center. We thank you for sharing your story with us today. This support group is full of supportive individuals who may be able to help you answer some questions regarding depression. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This may better help assess the situation. We also have developed a Depression Program. This program is 16-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@depressioncenter.net. Take care and we hope to hear from you soon. Good for you for deciding to do something about your depression hun! Well, When I started I went to see a counceller/phyciatrist just to see how bad I'm at and what they think I should do about it. Also, talking to family and friends is a good way to get support, cuz this whole thing is about getting support, and its vitally important that u feel important.. and getting support, definatly helps. Then I would go and see a doctor, and see if he/she should prescribe you medication. Also, going to see a counceller can be expensive, so if u have coverage, and they suggest a phyciatrist, it would give u ur money back. Also.. CBT is a good way to start.. because depression is just u thinking negatively about everything, so CBT is a good way to start. If you ever need to talk! I'll be here to listen, and good for u for deciding ur worth more, cuz u definatly are :) Good Luck and Peace be with you!

Hi, there. Even thou I've been feeling like this for a long long time this is actually the 1st time I'm doing something about my depression. I'm 30 years old and I'm tired of feeling worthless. At 1st I thought that I was going to overcome the sadness but it's been few years now and I'm ready to stop that. Any suggestions or input on how can I start?
