hana, Welcome to The Depression Center. We thank you for sharing your story with us today. This support group is full of supportive individuals who may be able to help you answer some questions regarding depression. Have you made an appointment to see your doctor? In the meantime please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This may better assess the situation. We also have developed a Depression Program. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. Many members have raved of the progress. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@depressioncenter.net. Take care and we hope to hear from you soon. I am happy to have found this site. A little background: I have been treated for depression for 17 years more or less, including 10 years of excellent counciling and 13 years of medication. I'm 41, a kindergarten school teacher and single. Ok, I know this isn't a dating website. I mention being single because a part of my depression is feeling anxious in social situations. I automaticly (mistakenly) assume I won't be wanted. That I'll be found unacceptable and a burden. As part of my work with the Depression Center I hope to get this thought out of my brain, increase my social circle of friends and maybe even (oh-my-gad!) Gulp! -- meet a significant other. And yes, tons of fear crept in as I typed that last part. That beginning will do! I look forward to learning, supporting and sharing with you all. Hanahmo
