Natureluv: Please do not feel like you are alone in your struggle. Actually,I was attacked over 15 years ago and I still battle fear on a daily basis. Remember, that you are a valuable person and don't allow 'anyone' to make you a victim. Battering someone is a way of control and in my life I have discovered that men who batter want to control because they are 'insecure'. If they don't make us feel like we are nothing then we might 'know' that we are valuable and 'leave them'. They are so frightened of our leaving. In fact, where there is any kind of domestic violence the woman or man is in the most danger when they finally leave the relationship. Take time for yourself. Heal, and be good to yourself. Join a support group or get private counseling. Most of all stay out of a relationship for a period of time and learn 'who you are', and what 'you like'. When I was in counseling the counselor asked me what I liked and I didn't even know. I had lived my life for the people in my relationships and had no personal will or 'boundries'. God Bless and GO4IT!
