I had social anxiety long before the depression. I have one friend, and she lives in a different country now so we only email each other. I have no friends that I see face-to-face. That's just the way of it.A smattering of family.
I hate social events, casual conversation, family occasions, eating out, meetings at work. That's just the way it is.
I have all of 4 actual friends I met face to face. M, R, A and A. that is it. I have my family. I have online friends mostly. and most people keep telling me my online friends aren't actual friends since I haven't met them face to face...
As we’ve seen before, depression and anxiety can result in many other
issues. First, for a number or reasons, being depressed or anxious can
cause people to withdraw from interacting with others. In fact, social
withdrawal is a common symptom among those with anxiety or depression.
Other symptoms such as low mood, irritability, anger, lack of sleep,
lack of concentration can also cause you to have problems in your
personal relationships.
