Well I just had a relaxation massage at a very reputable chiropractic/massage clinic to see how it would affect my severe anxiety.  At first, I was very anxious at the thought of a stranger kneading my body and me being nude as I am very shy and self-conscious.  I almost cancelled the appointment due to the anxiety. But it was a wonderful relaxing hour and my anxieties quickly melted away which I didn't expect. I almost fell asleep I was so relaxed near the end.  The therapist was very understanding of my anxiety and made me feel really comfortable throughout. I don't know how long the "state of relaxed bliss" will last, but I will certainly do it again and I think with much less anxiety. And I think I'll sleep really well tonight.
