racing thoughts

19 years ago 0 17 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
My fiance and I can't stop our minds sometimes. It get so uncomfortable that it causes tears and pain. I know we both have some form of OCD. I had an anxiety attack while driving last night and it scared the both of us. I had to take a diazepam to calm myself and then I was able to go to the concert we saw. It came out of nowhere and was very uncomfortable. Does anyone else suffer depression following these attacks? My fiance obsesses over similar things as I do. She's never tried meds, but I have. i allso suffer quite badly from racing thoughts, i find either free typing or distraction the best methods. if its very bad then distraction doesnt work, so free typing works quite well to get your thoughts out, so you can later look over them and think clearly about them :)

Hey Sue, Wow! That's a tough question. As I read your post I tried to think of what I do. When it happens to me I find a quiet place to sit and I breathe, pray, read or watch TV. Basically I try to distract myself. I am sorry your having a tough time. Lately I have been a little lazy about this disorder. I haven't been praying or reading as much and those things work for me. I have been exercising and that helps. I hope you are feeling better soon. Keep us posted. Take Care
