facing your fears

Wrestler, Within our Panic Program is what we call "exposure therapy". Doing exposure work and exposing yourself to situations and physical sensations that make you anxious is hard. You may want to think about involving a partner, friend or family member as a safe person to help you. This approach can work very well but only if your partner, friend, or family member can be encouraging and supportive. If you need any assistance with our Panic Program or have any questions or concerns, please contact us here in our support group or in our feedback section at the bottom of this page. Hey Wrestler the dreaded old OCD i really cant offer much but support because all my oc's have been with checking and counting and fear of germs which i gradually confronted but fear of dying is a little hard to confront(cant say id like to confront it any time soon ;))that said there must be some way to 'face the fear' do you still see your therapist?Maybe she could offer some advice.Goodluck and take care. One day at a time. My fear lately has been panic attacks in public. I have been having surges of anxiety and they have been turning up at work, too. I am trying everything, but being that I have OCD, it makes it even more difficult. Can anyone here who I've previously discussed with share and experience about OCD? My Obsessive Compulsive Disorder recently has ben about the fear of dying. It goes away and then comes back appearing to be a stronger feeling, but when I feel well I see to feel better and better, only to go back to the fear again. I may need a different med to increase my seritonin again. Anyway, thanks for listening, David

Casey, This is great progress! Continue on with the program and you will see a difference. Take your time and go slow and let the program guide you. You can also check with your doctor to assess the situation better. Keep Strong, Josie _______________________ The Panic Support Team.
