Thank you for posting. It is great that you figured out caffeine often triggers anxiety. Caffeine is a common trigger for many. Sugar and white flours also might cause spikes in blood sugar that may cause anxiety feelings. If you notice you get anxious feelings a lot after eating non caffeinated foods, you might want to check with your doctor. Your doctor will be able to determine if there are any underlying health issues (like Hypoglycemia) that may be causing your symptoms. From what it sounds like, caffeine if your only trigger which is common for people who are prone to anxiety. It is best to limit your caffeine intake to prevent feelings of anxiety. Eating small meals throughout the day may also be helpful.
Have you found certain foods to be helpful to eat or even calming? I would be interested to know your experience.
Hope to read more from you soon,
Hi everyone ,
I am new to this program but I am glad I found this thread. I thought I was the only one suffering panicky feeling while/after eating. I limit my caffeine intake because I find I get jittery after consuming and I have completely cut off alcohol because I am worried about a possible attack once I am done.
I do not have any strategies besides limit your caffeine intake. ( Ive only noticed this when drinking an ice coffee or ice cap )
I too try not to drink before eating because I get full so quickly and eating has really been a challenge for me
