Shari,

Well done! There won't be any stopping you when your health is under control again :) Sounds like you are having a very busy week. Although there have been a fair few negatives, which I know would have caused you a lot of anxiety in the past, you've been able to stay positive and take things as they come. I'm very proud of you :D
Hope it all works out for you and your friends and family.

All the best,
Kaitie.

Shari,

This is such a great thread....posting what some may consider negatives and turning it to the bright side and picking out all the positives!

I am so proud of you!

We should all do this more often, it is really inspiring and therapeutic!

Thank you,

Hi,

Went to the doctor's this morning due to back pain and racing heart, racing pulse, and high blood pressure which may be caused by the body not being able to manage the pain.  My blood test results stated that I am anemic and they are sending some blood off to test for Thyroid which has the above symptoms.  My back x-rays showed that I have arthritis, so I'm off to the orthopedist for a possible cortisone steroid shot, pain management info., and possible exercises that may help, tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.  I have a 10 a.m. appt. tomorrow, as well, with the cardiologist for a basic stress test, no I.V.'S, to see if I need blood pressure medication and pulse medication like my Mother.  There may have been physical reasons for anxiety and panic all along.  My Mom's been feinting a lot lately due to not eating enough and exhaustion.  My brother's wife has a benign tumor on her liver and needs another ultrasound in 6 months.  She may also have an ulcer and went in for an Upper G.I. today and will be going in for an Endoscopy.  My retired Pastor's daughter's dog is being put to sleep tonight at 6 p.m., so there's a lot to absorb today.

Why do I call it success (as in the thread title)?  Because, I went to the doctor and had every test done and everyone was nice. I'm doing self care by going to the cardiologist and orthopedist and finding out what I need to do, so that I can live a long and healthy life.  And, after the appt. this morning, I went to Target, to get my prescriptions filled and get a decaf at the in store Starbuck's, and Dante was there.  He's worked there for 3 years and I always say, "Hi" to him and everyone who works there..  He has back problems too and his are worse than mine, I'm sad to say.  He bought me a decaf and sat and talked with me awhile.  He said he would be my friend and that he hangs out at Starbuck's after he gets off of work at 1:30 p.m. every day.  And, he said if I ever wanted to hang out there with him, I could.  I thought that was so nice. Initially, I felt alone going to the doctor by myself, but everyone who worked there, was with me and took good care of me, so I was not alone. And, afterward, I found a friend in Dante at Target.  Just when you need it the most, God has people come through for you. I am grateful.  So, it is a good day.  I will update after the appt.'s tomorrow.  Also, George is taking the day off of work tomorrow to take me to my appt.'s, so there's another blessing.  And, my daughter is coming this weekend to visit also. I've got a lot to be thankful for.

Shari
