Quote of the Day Part Two

Sorry Hugs,

When you said, "That was just a toy horse, hoping someone will post a real one."  I misunderstood and thought you may want to post your own horse image instead of hoping for someone else to post one.  I liked your toy horse, and you're right, it is more personal than just an image of one.

When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.
- Napoleon Hill

With my track record, I'm wondering whether I should just really temper my expectations, and make some hard decisions.

Shari,
An image isn't as personal as this toy I had.

Hi Hugs,

If you go to a search engine (Google) and type in horse images, you can pick out one of the pictures you like the best, right click on it, click save as, name it, and then it will be in your download folder.  Then you can use it as your avatar :-)

Winners take chances. Like everyone else, they fear failing, but they refuse to let fear control them.
- Nancy Simms

Hi Vincenza,
I'm unsure a doc would be open to that.

Shari,
That was just a toy, hoping someone will post a real one.

Hugs,

Love your new avatar.  Do you collect horses?

There are a lot of religions here and even cults that sort of worship the river. To some of these people in the alternative religions (not main stream) the J Campbell quote would mean leave the life you planned and put your future in Gods hands. They seem to forget that God helps those who help themselves.

Accept help where ever it comes from but don't leave your entire life to someone else. Life is what you make it. Unfortunately that leaves no one else to blame.

Hugs be flexible but never let go of the wheel completely it is too hard to get it back when it spins out of control.

The sun is shining here, hope you all have a nice day.

Hi Hugs,

It sounds like you're more thorough than demanding.  Have you tried writing all your questions out to ask the docs?  Hopefully they can clarify their thinking process and/or take into account the research and knowledge you can share with them!  Patients often make the best teachers!

If you really want something you can figure out how to make it happen.
- Cher

Sometimes the docs don't think of something which I've kept asking about.  I wonder if they're competent.  Why am I the one to think of a medical test, which was always at their disposal?  It should come up with some clarity.

Am I being too demanding?

Hi Shari,
That's an easier way to grasp it.

The battle is all over except the "shouting" when one knows what is wanted and has made up his mind to get it, whatever the price may be.
- Napoleon Hill

On the topic of battles, we have to choose them, don't we?  I slept better, last night, after the J Campbell quote below, maybe because the "mythology" really affected me, since he was a contemporary expert.  Some situations became clearer, including a transaction at the pharmacy.  It seemed they'd overcharged me, but I ignored it.  My "house of cards" just is too fragile to deal with this.  What I can do is inquire to find out if they did, and be more careful next time.   I also realize that I can always have a "safe" person, if I wished, since I carry a cellphone.  That means, I can call someone in a private area, and ask for advice, shortly after a transaction or conversation.

I noticed this on game shows, when people get a "lifeline"!

I've heard this quote before.  My interpretation of it is this.  That some times our life doesn't turn out as we planned.  Like if we wanted to be a movie star or something and if we keep longing for that movie star life, we'll miss out on the life we were meant to live and are currently living.  Our life is passing by while we're wishing for a different life.
