Quote of the Day Part Two

Hugs

I have to admit I don't cook soft fish well. Salmon I'm pretty safe with but not white fish and other soft fish out of the store. So I'm curious as to how you cook it because this would form a theory that would cover all other soft fish.

What you have to do and the way you have to do it is incredibly simple. Whether you are willing to do it, that's another matter.

then there's dealing with those gremlins...

I guess Roger doesn't know about core beliefs. Confidence comes out of yourself. There are still very successful people who have no confidence in themselves and are surprised at their capability. It never changes or gets better because every thing they do has to go against their core beliefs. They do it but they struggle.

Then there is the opposite. Over confident people. People who think every thing they do is Gold so they never try to be better.

As far as I'm concerned and this is just my opinion, confidence is a happy medium ( no pun intended) . Confidence is the ability to strive for improvement and the ability to know when you are not. (striving, improving and knowing)

Confidence doesn't come out of nowhere. It's a result of something... hours and days and weeks and years of constant work and dedication.
- Roger Staubach

I can finally cook white fish without looking at it, knowing the heat setting on the stove will result in a texture that is palatable.  This confidence took many hours, courses, reading and watching youtube before I felt okay.  Now I can blend other smaller activities in.

I read on line that taking an antihistamine can ease nerve and back pain.  And, it works!  It also relaxes me and therefore relaxes the muscles, I think.  It's allergy season too, so it's good all around.  I use the over the counter medicine that begins with B.

I went to visit my coffee Barista and socialized with all of the customers that came in for her delicious drinks.

I realized the people who keep in touch with me are all retired, so I think the reason why my working friends and family don't keep in touch, is simply just that, they're busy at work.  My daughter is stressed from her demanding job, so I haven't seen her in awhile, but I understand.

I reviewed my Shari's Move posts to re visit my situation and see how it all applies today.  It's interesting to see things with a new perspective and reflect on what I've learned.  Well, that's enough random thoughts for one post :-)

Accept failure as a normal part of living. View it as part of the process of exploring your world; make a note of its lessons and move on.

Maybe little things like our avatars help the obstacles of life, like my neck ache and your back

Hi Hugs,

Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt.  Sometimes things don't come out right or are meant in a different way

Re:  my back.  I'm able to sleep pretty well, but it spasms in the morning and it comes in waves during the day.  I tell myself it's just temporary and the pain will go away eventually, it always does.  I still go out and do things; it beats staying home and dwelling on it. Will pray for your neck.

Re:  Mohammad Ali.  My first husband lived in Kentucky, when he was growing up, and his neighbor across the street was Mohammad Ali.  Sean said that kids would flock to his house and Mohammad would always spend time with them and he is still a really good person who is down to earth.  His wife is really nice as well.  That brings back a childhood memory for me.  I spent quality time with my Dad watching sports and we would watch boxing together.  My hero at that time was Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini.  Good memories :-)

I wish we all had Mohommad Ali's confidence :-)

Shari,
Never any need for an apology, since I know you're well-intentioned.

My neck is bothering me. Must have twitched it at the gym.  Hope you're better with your back.

It's lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges, and I believe in myself.
