Hi Sunny, how are things going with you and Davit?
Both are in my thoughts...

Hi sunny,

I hope the sun is in fact shining on you today and that Davit is feeling more comfortable this evening.  I'm so glad to hear that you have found support through new friends.  It makes the world of a difference to know you have someone to reach out to.  I'm also glad you continue to reach out to your PC family as well.  We are thinking of you both and sending you lots of positivity across the way.

Hi Sunny,
I like your thinking about changing the thread subject title

Hi D:  thanks for the prayers -they are really appreciated.  Glad to hear your hubby is doing well, and so are you, hanging in there.  I said a prayer for you two also.

That's what life is all about. It's never perfect, you get a curve ball thrown at you every now and then, but attitude and positive thinking really help.  Not saying we don't have times of real stress, anxiety and sorrow, because of course, we do.  But we can help ourselves and not make it worse. Friends' support is so uplifting at this time.  I still have my best friend in Ontario who calls me and I her, she checks up on me to see how it is going.  It means a lot.  And yesterday, two ladies came calling and brought some herbal tea.  It was really great for me.  I was starting to feel alone as I don't know that many people yet - that is know them well, more like acquaintances right now.  I think I made two new friends yesterday.  That really is nice and makes me happy.  They reached out to me.  I will remember to pass that on to someone else one day who may need comforting.

Davit is feeling a bit down today.  At least they are changing his position every few hours and he doesn't have to lie on his back all the time.  He is getting a new bed today, one with air for better more comfortable positioning.  He's had one before, glad they are getting him one today.  Otherwise, it is still a wait and see situation.  We are hoping the wound heals and the infection leaves.  Still not able to have even a wee sip of water or ice chips.  Sometimes he says he feels so hungry, other times not.  They are feeding him through a tube but it doesn't go into the stomach which still is healing.  He may be there for another month yet.  Hoping he gets sent to closer hospital after the month.

My eye is much better.  Still waiting for appt. with specialist as I see them every 9 months or so.  I am weaning off a beta blocker and so far so good.  Next wk. will have none of it at all.  Then off to the hospital (not D's hospital, another one) to get true bp readings and see if I need an ACE inhibitor.  I'm still on another med. for bp which they will keep me on.

Keep the good positive vibes going!  I am going to change the post heading to getting there.

SUNNY,

I am SO sorry to hear of this Sunny. We had horrible storms here in Fl and power on and off for about a week, this is the first time I have logged on, I am sorry had I known I would of wrote sooner. I hope by the time you are reading this Davit is recovering, strong antibotics are wonderful they will kill the infection and I know you hate him being in the hospital but the good thing is he is surrounded by nurses and doctors 24/7 and being watched constantly, I am praying for him and for you.

Its probably a good thing you did not drive, Davit would not want too I am sure if you cannot, that is the good news about cell phones, I know when my husband was in we could talk anytime day or night. I am so sorry he is suffering, I hope the meds have kicked in and the hallunations have stopped and the pain better, Davit is a wonderful man, he has a good heart and has helped me and others so much, as you have Sunny, you and Carmie and Red and the others got me through some horrible hellish bad days, I hope I can help you, I feel I always say the "wrong thing" but I do know Davit is strong and he cares so deeply about his loved ones and he is not going anywhere, God needs him to help others, I know in my heart he wil be fine, please let me know, I was worried about both of you, please update me on his condition and how you are doing.

My husband had his surgery. The good news is it went well, he is in pain but alright, and the other good news is I have been staying strong too care for him, I have my moments, like today some chest pain and heart palps, but I think it was the coffee, I usually dont have that second cup. It looks like both our men are layed up Sunny, but we will prevail and they will be fine! Please take care of yourself and get rest, Davit will be home before you know it. My prayers and healing angels with you.

Hi Sunny,

I also want to extend my thoughts and prayers to you both.  This is the first time I have read through this thread and I'm shocked and saddened to hear of Davit's situation.  I hope he continues to improve every day and find strength in knowing that we are all thinking of you both.  He is so very lucky to have you by his side.

I hope the doctors were able to learn more about his condition after the x-rays so they can treat him.  Thank you for keeping the PC family updated on Davit's condition - as well as your own.
I imagine this kind of situation consumes so much of your energy, emotionally and physically.  I'm glad to hear you are taking care of yourself as best you can.
As always, let us know how we can help - we are here for you!

My heart goes out to Davit as he has helped so many on this site including myself.  I wish him strength & peace of mind during this trying time.

I am very saddened by the news. It's good to know he has sunny to be with him as we all need someone.

Thank you everyone for all your good wishes.  I do pass them along to Davit.  Today they took xrays (in his bed, he can't be moved) to see if the patch on the stomach stayed.  They need to find out where the infection is still coming from - the stomach or the intestines.

He was able to lie a little on one side with pillows behind him, just to give his back, etc. a bit of a change.  They are watching closely for bedsores now.
