Rewarding Yourself

13 years ago 0 252 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi ~m,

Heres a few...But you must understand that I am new at this rewards and self care stuff too..

When going to the store to do exposure work, get yourself a little reward for doing the exposure while your there..Like a magazine or some flowers etc. etc...
Letting myself take a Long hot shower is another favorite one of mine.
Reading a few chapters of novel is another one I like..
Stopping for a ice cream cone on the way home after a hard exposure.
Going to a book store and relaxing and looking at books..
Going to the craft or fabric store and just browsing around..

The are a few of mine..Now you can add some of your own...

Hope this helps you out..

My "go to" reward has been alcohol.  I am really trying to change that, but cannot come up with a reward that is as appealing to me as a hard-earned drunk.    That has gotta change. I just don't seem to know how or what to reward myself with that is an healthy alternative.  Am very interested in what others use to reward themselves.....

Hi everyone its me again:

I hope I am not the only one here who gives themselves rewards !!!
It really is ok and very healthy to give yourself little rewards and some self care...

So I guess I will start off this thread will a little reward I am going to give myself for working on my program today and coming here and being part of the support group today...

My little reward is going to be a couple of candles for the house which I have to go out to get which is exposure work.
My second reward today is going to be to a cook a nice healthy dinner tonight..Which is a reward and self care both..

Rewards and Self Care seem to kind of go together for me now..

Talk to you all later,

Hi Everybody:

They mention giving yourself rewards for the steps you make forward with the program...All steps both big and small count and deserve a reward of some kind..

I like giving myself little rewards. Does anyone else do this?

I was wondering what rewards you have given yourself lately?
