My Fears & Anxious Thoughts...

13 years ago 0 659 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Vincenza! Hi Davit!

I am not sure what steps I am going to take, for the moment is seems to make sense to take back some control..The choices I make are ultimately mine..Davit I think you hit the nail on the head when you said it is my Agoraphobia. Not having control over the situation..What ever I do "it is my decision" these decisions will give me back some of the control....So today I decided to drop one of my quilting classes..It was really to much for me right now. I really had over extended myself..This way I well have the time I need to try out my new meds..I will be able to concentrate on my projects better and will be able to nurture the friendships I have made in my original quilting class..This is a very relaxed class, with very little pressure and we all help and care about each other...So these are the steps I have taken so far to reduce the stress and anxiety in my life..I think this will be much better for me both physically and emotionally..I am learning how to set limits on myself and due what it best for me...
Thank you for caring and for your support....

The one thing all your fears have in common is your Agoraphobia. Not having control of the situation. You know the answer to that is those four words, "it is my decision". That puts you back in control.

Here for you,
Davit.

Red,

This is a great way to begin facing your fears and good question to pose to the group.  Interesting to that you were able to find a common theme within your list of fears.  I imagine it was not easy to do, so thank you for sharing.  Now that you have made a list, what will your next steps be?

If any of you share similar fears, what actions are you taking to overcome them?

This morning I was thinking about all my anxious thoughts and fears and decided make a list of them as they surface...I am thinking this will help me to bring them out into the open and accept them for what they are, just anxious/negative thoughts. This way I might be able to start working on them..Fear is the key word for me when doing this. What do I fear?  What do you fear?

Here it goes my list, my attempt at facing my fears.

1.  Trying new meds.
2.  Confrontations.
3.  Getting too close to people both physically
     and emotionally.
4.  Being a passenger in a car.
5.  Moving to a new location
6.  Staying in the present location.

I realized while complying this list that these fears seem to all be related to fears of the unknown...
