Hello,
don't know where to start.....i've had anxiety for as long as i can remember. i'm 36, turning 36 tomorrow actually, and not too excited about it. I recently stopped taking paxil after about 2 years being on it. It's been about a month and for the first couple of weeks I was doing great, just some minor withdrawls.....the common zaps as those who have taken the drug will understand what I am talking about. One day about 2 weeks ago I just had a bad panic attack....can't tell you why either, very frustrating. There is a lot going on in my life currently...and all for the positive one would think. Me and my wife just bought a house! I started a new job with a large reputable company. We are trying to have children! As positive as this is, it is scaring me to death and I've experienced panic attacks (at least one everyday over the past 3 days) generally at night before going to bed, which now makes me afraid and anxious to fall asleep cause I think I will have a panic attack.
I've also started seeing a therapist, 4 days ago actually and she seems knowledgeable and easy to talk too....just expensive at $200 a visit.
Ok, is it normal to be having so many panic attacks this early in this program? Have others experienced this? I felt great after talking to my therapist and then the last 3 days have been anxiety stricken. Can someone be of some help.
Sincerely,
A
