Wow Davit,
What a  picture you present. You have every right to whine, hell I'd be bawling all day. You are so strong.
God I hope your dentist can repair the damage he caused. At least your keeping your sense of humour....it must be hard to do. Maybe he's only pulled out animal's teeth....ha
Hopefully in the long run this will be better, your gums and mouth will be healed and the new  teeth will fit better.
I feel sorry for you, having to eat mush..so I tell you what..in sympathy I'll dunk my cookie in my tea.
Hey, thats not bad..ha...
Thinking of you, keep us posted, and when you get your new pearly whites you'll have to take a picture  and post it!

Davit,

I am so sorry you are feeling so bad.. I agree it is time to see you own dentist and have her evaluate the situation. I am very proud of you for keeping a level head and doing what you need to do.  I have had a little experience my self with incompetent dentists in the past and understand this is a very scary situation when it happens to you..In my situation I went to a oral surgeon and a Prosthodontist to have the damage repaired...I have had to do this 3 times in my life and the last time was the worst..I just want you to know there are specialists out there that can help you and if need be and they can fix this and do the reconstructive work that is necessary...When you see your own personal dentist you may want to ask her about your options and get any necessary referrals if needed...In the mean time try to take a few deep breaths and let the out slowly..I know this is really hard one to get through...Just hang in there until you can talk to you own dentist and get some answers and the help you need...You can and will get through this...You are a very strong person and remember you have gotten through many tough situations in your life...

Your friend always.
Here for you.

oh Davit you poor thing, you did this great big exposure and they messed you up like this, if its any consulation i have heard by a few people that it is better to have your teeth fitted after your gums have healed you get a much better fit.
this is your time to spoil yourself a little, just relax and get well and once those teeth are in you can have a grilled cheese sandwhich with bacon, sausages and lasagne on the side, you have done very well

Juanita.

There was a mix up some how. The dentist was supposed to put the teeth in right after taking the real ones out in stead he just pulled them and sewed up the gums leaving in pieces of tooth and bone and cartilage to work there way out. In fact the teeth had even been left in his office, so now I have to go see the nearest dentist and see what she can do or wait for the pieces to work there way out. I have got most of them out but I think this calls for some professional help. It also means that I will have to wait for the gums to heal before I can have the teeth fitted. (lined) Instead of having the gums fit them. I know mistakes happen with booking but I am not happy with this. There also is little I can do. I will see what My dentist can do to fix the mess this guy made. I have nothing to relate it to since I have never had this done before. All I know is people have said it was not supposed to be like this. I will see what tomorrow brings. On the other hand the guy in the next bed had all his pulled and is waiting for his gums to heal before he gets his teeth made. Maybe I did it wrong.
Yes I will be on soft food like mashed potatoes and blender stew, but it is not so bad. I'm tired of jello and ensure already. The worst part is I have Lasagne in the freezer and I am not putting that in the blender. Already I miss bacon, and sausages. Never mind celery and cheese or carrot sticks. How about a nice grilled cheese sandwich. My face is black and blue and I look like I have been using it to clean the chimney. I look like the God Father with a three day beard. Kind of sound like him too.
At least I can breath through my nose again and swallow, but my lips are still fat and peeling now. It will get better I'm sure, just a bit depressing. I should have checked to see if he had the initials DVM after his name.
Maybe it is supposed to be this way, maybe I'm just whining here. Well I'm allowed to whine too I think. See I feel better already. Like panic this to shall pass.

Good to have friends who care, it makes it so much easier.

Your friend
Davit.

Ps Wednesday I get tests to make sure the infection in the jaw has not spread and the antibiotics are working. In fact that was the reason I was given for not putting in the plastic teeth. It just doesn't make sense to me. Three more weeks with this cast on too. Glad it is not summer that would add to the misery. Sutures are annoying too.

Davit,
You should be pleased  with yourself...you are absolutely an inspration to all of us,but we are here for you too....even though you are our Guru...you're still  one of us. I would be here for you if it had turned into a setback, no judgements..but it didn't..I remember a little while back when I had told everyone here about my wharf exposure, and then I couldnt bring myself to do it...you advised me to just keep it to myself the next time and tell all about it afterwards...and thats what I did.
And thats what you did....you took your own advise!
I'm also glad to hear there's not too much pain! Because it sounds painful! now I'm just being nosy... are you still on pureed food? Do hot/cold hurt your gums?  Are you going to get false teeth later on?
 Your nosy niece,
Juanita

Hello every one.

My face is pretty black and blue but the swelling is going down and the pain is not to bad but mostly it is the aftershock of the fact that I managed to do this knowing full well what I was in for stress wise. I am pleased with my success but I have to be honest I didn't want to say I was going to do it in case I couldn't. I am so pleased that I did. I was scared that If I had a set back that you would take it as a bad sign even though we know they are normal. I can only get stronger from the experience and I hope you all can too just from knowing it can be done. This really was a big thing for me. I didn't really have a safe person. I had never met Greg before the trip but I had to have some one drive, since with a broken leg I would not be able too. This is a funny community, people help people here because they need help, for no other reason. Like this site. To bad more of the world was not like that.

Thank all of you for your concern. Together we can overcome anything. Well anything we need too.

Here for you also
Davit.
