Holy smokes Cleo, I didn't realize they took that much care. My present little mutt (said with much affection) - cute and lovable anyway - hardly needs anything. My late spaniel Charlie, did need grooming but only every 3 months or so and his eyes wept too. Sadly, he lost most of his vision and his hearing at the end. He was so silky soft too and I loved brushing him. I would have 4-5 dogs too if I could. Wouldn't it be awesome?! I would take any kind, love 'em all.

Thanks Sunny, she stays silky with lots of hard work from me! ha.It's daily brushing, daily eye care (she weeps alot)weekly baths with conditioning, monthly nail and pad trimming...all that just to stay pretty!

There's a little story too...when I was around 18,and sad, I was walking down a street and a man was walking by with 2 Cavaliers (I had never seen anything so sweet before) ofcourse, they love petting, so we got to talking ....I found out what they were called, and I swore I would get one of those one day. About 10 years ago we started searching for one...even went to this gross puppy mill, oh! it broke my heart...anyhow, 5 years ago we got her. And no regrets, even with the time she takes. If I were rich I'd have about 4 or 5 of them running around!And send them to a grooming shop. I better stop...I'm bragging her up more than my kids!

Cleo: love your dog, I can "feel" how silky she is. At the end of my staircase, the facing wall has a print of two King Charles Spaniels sitting on a chair near a fireplace. So cozy, gives me a smile every time I see it. That's why I hung it there, I see it every time I go downstairs. :)

Thank you! This is the first step and the first block of many. Just like working the CBT program. Many small steps.

The quilt and I are what you would call a work in progress.

Sorry to hear about the chickens. Looking on the bright side maybe you can get that new sewing machine early that you were wanting from Santa. Now that you won't be spending the time and money on the chicken coop and caring for the chickens. Just an Idea to ponder! Than maybe you could find a quilting class or sewing class at a adult school or quilt shop where you live. There are also sewing and quilting guilds you can join. The fees are minimal. You mentioned you were still looking for new hobbies so I thought I would throw these ideas out there. Its a great way to meet new people and make new friends too. I wasn't sure I could tolerate the class but I am doing fine and having a great time. It turned out to be a small class. Theres just four of us in class which makes it easier to be there and easier to learn. Its like have your own private teacher. I hope you can get your new sewing machine soon... Sewing is very relaxing and a very positive distraction. Please keep us updated on how you are doing. I do love to hear from you.

Thank you Red! I love your quilt avatar. It's truly beautiful. You have a great gift and talent. My neck is much better. It flares up now and then, but fortunately it's nothing that some over the counter pain relief can't fix. Will keep in touch.

Your support has been a huge part of my success and cure. I couldn't have done it without your kind and helpful words, throughout this program. I still get butterflies in my tummy sometimes, but they are less and less, the more I continue practing my homework. Yes, I still practice everything I have learned and will continue to until it becomes an automatic response. It is getting easier over time and I will never give up. I just want to tell you something very important. I will explain it with a story and then tell you the positive statement. My husband, daughter and I went to Calvert Cliffs to look for shark teeth fossils and fossils in general. It is a 4 mile hike down the cliff to the beach and it is obviously a 4 mile hike back up the cliff upon return. We walked, and walked, and walked (you get the idea :) At one point I stopped and thought, "This path is endless, I'll never make it to the water." I sat down and pondered, "Maybe I should stop and stay here and let George and Dominique go on without me." With my family's encouragement, I pressed on. I was sweating, huffing and puffing and my legs hurt (I'm only 20 lbs. overweight) I didn't think I had the stamina. As I was continuing down the path, a family was coming toward us, from the beach. The man must have seen the expression on my face of this seemingly unending journey. He said one thing I will never forget. I will say it to all of you and I don't want you to ever forget. He said with a big smile, "It's closer than you think." That put the wind back in my sails and I suddenly had energy and a bounce in my step and as I turned the bend I saw the beautiful water and beach. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. On our way back up the cliff, I saw people with the same looks on their faces as I had. I passed along those words of wisdom and saw the heaviness lift and happiness and hope return. I encourage you to believe along with me that "You are closer than you think." I love you all and miss you. I'll come back and visit. I think Davit is doing a tremendous job with his words of wisdom and truth. I don't know if I could say anything better than he does :) It's not goodbye, it's see you soon :) Love, Shari
