Welcome! I received your comment from my blog and I smiled. It's good to know I have a sister :) This program really works and with all of the supportive friends on here, you will do well. Your friend, Shari
Sorry have not posted for a while, been really busy with work.
Thank you all for your kind words its been really comforting and encouraging. Feels like being part of a big new family.
Still sticking with the program/forums and it is working well for me. Just little things really but having a big impact on how I cope on a daily basis.
I do sincerely hope all of you are doing well. Keep up the good work and I pray you all get better and keep getting better.
Jas - I'm glad you are finding some encouragement and support here like so many of us have. Keep posting and journaling about what you're experiencing - writing helps, and if you share your thoughts you will definitely get feedback on the forums. Hang in there.
Joe - Re-read your post here and look at how far you have come in just a short period of time! I love the positive tone and all the positive thoughts in your response to Jas. It just reinforces my belief that this program WILL help each and every one of us.
You are not alone with your problem. I share almost the same situation! I too felt my anxiety was out of control and I could no longer keep it together. It is a 24 - 7 battle for me to keep it together. Heart pounds hard almost all day. Very hard to concentrate on anything but this damn disorder! That being said, sense I started this program it has helped me in just a few days. DO THE HOME WORK. Learning about panic attacks and anxiety is very important.
Listen, everyone deals with stress in there life differently. Its like filling up a water balloon with water. If your not careful it will over fill and burst. That is what happen to us.Once it burst, we now are dealing with the fears of panic attacks, which causes a lot of anxiety. You need to realize your NOT crazy, Your not going to loose control of yourself. There just thoughts. Everyone has them. But when your anxiety levels are in the normal range, you can shrug them off as just a stupid thought or not even pay any attention to them. But our anxiety level is above normal, because we are afraid of those horrible panic attacks. So those same thoughts freak us out and send us into the flight or fight response. Then the panic attack happens. We have to retrain our thought process, realize the symptoms of anxiety is all we are feeling. we are not going crazy. We will lead a normal life. Your living with a heighten level of anxiety right now. That"s all.
I know what you mean about the positive vibes. This is a good place to be. Not just a healing place but a friendly place, a calm island in a sea of turmoil. You will get better and contribute for sure, you already are.
I think you already are a comfort to others by not giving up and sharing your thoughts on this thread and that's a positive contribution. We are all glad you are here :) Your friend, Shari
Not one thing in particular, more a very good combination. First of all is the support from the community and the feeling and knowing that you are not suffering alone. The stories of people's will power which gives massive encouragement to me. The numerous success stories I have read through in the forums. The kind word and thoughts and of course the wonderful programme which I find quite unique and very helpful.
Panic and Anxiety a place where there is so much negativity and gloom is over shadowed by the abundance of positive energies from members who have battled, overcome and continue battling this illness. My hat is of to you all, keep up the good work.
I am a long, long way off being back to my normal self but I am filled with confidence each time I visit here. It almost keeps me going if you will. The communities struggles and battles help me to keep fighting mine.
Can't put a finger on it really just get a really good vibe from the site and all of its members. Something I have found no where else.
I hope one day I can put my own positive energies back in and be a comfort to someone else.
Oh and thank you to all for responding and welcoming me.
Wow, I am sorry we missed this thread! I would like to welcome you to the site. Again, sorry for the late welcome!
I am so glad to hear that you are already benefiting from the program. It is true (and proven) that even after the first few sessions members notice a difference. Reading this post compared to your last is quite heartwarming. I can already hear a difference in your tone and it has only been about two weeks! WOW!
How does it feel to know you are making progress so quickly?
Also, I am curious, what about the site do you find makes it better then others?
