I started taking Zoloft for Panic Disorder about six weeks ago. I started on 25mg and increased to 50mg after two weeks, so I've been on 50mg for about a month now. I had increased anxiety and other side effects both when I started and when I increased my dose, but after about a week on the 50mg, I started to feel terrific, like my old self again! I was so glad and relieved that my constant anxiety had gone away. Anyway, I started doing CBT with my psychologist and was feeling really positive about that as well. Then two days ago I developed a headache and eye strain, and began to worry that I had a brain tumour or glaucoma or bleeding on the brain. My headache has grown worse and I'm still freaking out about it, and I've been crying and feeling awful because I thought I was beating the panic attacks and now I've had a relapse. Will I get better? I'm going to see my doctor on Monday but I'm worried in case I need to increase my Zoloft dose - I'm scared I'll keep having to need more of it. Are relapses normal? Is it possible I haven't been taking Zoloft long enough and things will settle down in a couple of weeks? Please help me, I'm so frightened.
