My new goal! Whats yours?

Hey Red, that sounds like a good plan! maybe you should start a savings in a jar, like in the other discussion for every quarter mile you walk or something, you give the jar a nickle. And at the end of the month go buy yourself a treat.
My new goal is to go to the family event night the city will be having at the park, during the summer. These events are free and I plan to go to it with another family member who is not my support person, so i can get used to other people's driving.

Hi Red,

It sounds like you have already mapped out a game plan for yourself for this goal. Great work! Get out there, enjoy the sun and let us know how it goes!

Samantha,
I will be starting this morning.  The beginning steps will be getting dressed first thing in the morning after my coffee, before my coffee would be better.  Getting in the car with my safe person and driving to a lake in the area or somewhere in nature.  The hardest thing is going to be making it a routine.  To stick with it.  I am going to try to vary the form of exercise and strive to make it fun and interesting.  My ideas are walking on the beach, at the park, lake, and the zoo. Going swimming when the weather starts getting to hot for me to walk.  Taking my camera will make it interesting.  It is a little hard to make it a aerobic work out if I keep stopping and taking pictures. I figure that I will have to stop and rest any way because I have exercise hyper tension and need to take it easy until I get in better shape.  The key idea is to get out, get some sun and exercise and remember not to push my self so hard that I do not enjoy the activity.  Moderation Moderation is something I also need to work on and keep telling myself.  This is my plan.  Now all I have to do is leave the house on a regular basis which is the hard part. Well I got to sign off for now so that I can get dressed, leave the house and start working on my goal. Good luck everyone setting a new goal today and developing a plan of action.

Hi Red,

Thank you for sharing this new goal of yours with us. It is great that you are already thinking ahead and planning your next goal! It sounds like the quilting class has been a great experience for you and has opened up a new world of possibilities. When will you begin working on your new goal? What steps will you take to work on this goal?

Members, what goals have you been working on?

Red

My goal is to finish off the projects I started in the last few years. Isn't it unfair. I can do the things you want to do but I just can't get myself to do the things I want to. No interest is all. I have absolutely no trouble going to town or shopping. Driving is a pleasure but doing anything is just such a chore. I hope it is just the staph dragging me down. It doesn't help that it is snowing this morning covering my tulips and asparagus.

My class is ending this week so I am going to start working on a new goal.  I would like to be able to leave the house and start walking or doing some exercise on a regular basis.  I want to continue to learn to quilt and will be taking another quilting class in the near future.  I want to add this to my life, a routine of sorts.  This will involve exposure and steps and I will have to work hard to achieve this.  This is something I really want and need to do for me.  This is my new goal.  Whats yours?
