People.

Ever look at expressions. Keeping it bottled up is a hold over from the days before pasturation or refrigeration where if you sealed a bottle it would explode. Get it off your chest. We know that anxiety gives us chest pains. Interesting. Do you ever wonder where all these expressions we use come from?

I know the first step is always the hardest and posting takes alot of courage but it will help ease the pain one feels dealing with this condition. Keeping it inside will just make you worse...the best part of the PanicCenter site is that you have the anonymity if you wish it and can still open up knowing there are people here who understand and are very caring.

Sunny,
You never say to much...even though I may not know you that well , I sense that you are a warm, caring person and I am honored to consider you me friend ....all of you are gems, truly.

It was difficult for me to post at first - I still wonder sometimes if I say too much.  I'm not used to opening up.  However, I would like to tell everyone who would like to post that this experience has helped me by not bottling up so much.  It's really nice to get some things off your chest and know that those here, this support group, understands and does care.

Samantha.

Lets remind them that they don't need to put up a picture of themselves. No one needs to know who they are. All we need is something to call them, and that too can be anything. Let me also take this time to remind them that what they suffer is a condition, a disorder not a disease. Nothing to be ashamed of at all. We can and will still be their friends and there for them no matter what.

Members,

Myth: I wish I were like everyone else and ask for help.

Fact: Many people do not seek help because they do not feel safe disclosing their symptoms due to the stigma they fear may be associated with having a mood disorder.
