Hi All!

I've been good. Jus really busy with the move & work. But I finally bit the bullet & decided to go the cardiologist. I thought the EKG was way more involved than what it was LOL And I did NOT enjoy the drawing of the blood bcuz I have very small veins in my arms and they usually hafta draw it from my hand. EEK! But the phlebotomist was good and found a vein :)

I also told the dr about my constant cold feet... He said I need to quit smoking, which of course, I knew. And that I need to exercise, which I also already knew. So Im thinking Imma try to do it in baby steps LOL

Hello Texan,

Glad to see that your visit with the doctor went well, and that you were able to take a load off your shoulders. Hope Friday also goes smoothly for you.

Come back and let us know how you are doing.

Hello  Texan.

Where have you been?

I got to watch my echo cardiogram, It is so neat I want to do it again (yes I am weird). You don't say how you are doing otherwise so am I to presume you are fine? I didn't know if you were winning or gave up. The suspence is killing me.

Ok, so I made a big step today. I went to a cardiologist. The initial EKG was good - no silent heart attacks and no blood pressure problems I have to go back Fri for an echo cardiogram (or whatever they're called) and then again on Mon for a follow-up to discuss the results... But I can honestly say it has already relieved me a great deal

Hi all!

Haven't been on in a while but I just wanted to let y'all know that I've been taking yoga and have been reading this new book called "The Anxiety & Phobia Workbook". It is a HUGE book but it has helped me tremendously. It has mantras that you can tell yourself when you feel panic coming on or when you are in the throes of a panic attack. It also has a self assessment questionnaire to help you try to figure out what kind of panic you might have. It has chapters on meds & natural herbal remedies. It has been the best book I've come across thus far

One other big stepping stone for me was that I slept in my gf's bed last night with NO anxiety or panic. And I've felt good about it all day. I haven't been able to sleep in her bed since my 1st panic attack almost 2 months ago.

So to all the people who have just started this program, keep the faith and promise yourself that you WILL get better and be ok. It's a slow & steady pace but the small blessings and victories are worth EVERY ounce of hard work!

Had a minor setback last night. I found out that I have to move sooner than expected. I could feel the muscles in my legs start to tighten up & I got that sick empty feeling in my stomach. I felt like my shoulders were up next to my ears. Tension & anxiety... But I just kept telling myself that it was bound to happen and that it's going to be a growing experience for me to learn how strong I really am. And that it'll be a good thing bcuz I'll be moving in with my girlfriend It took about a hour to calm myself down but it WORKED!!! The tension sibsided and I calmed myself down & fell asleep! GO ME!!!

Thank you for sharing your story with us. There are many people within this support group that share the same questions and concerns as you.  We are all a group of individuals who support each other.

If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests.  These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor.

We also have developed a Panic Program.  This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above.  Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead.

These tests may or may not be for you but they are "free".  If you have any question or concerns with our “TOOLS”, you can contact us at support@paniccenter.net.  We are the Support Specialist for The Panic Center and are open to any questions or concerns you may have.

Please continue to strive forward and lean on us for support.
