Heya Diva!

Long time no talk!  Sorry about that, I kinda got caught up with my own stuff.  The good news is my anxiety has become so much easier to deal with lately, fewer attacks, able to face the attacks that do come on...it's just a whole new world I'm in!

Great to hear your anxiety is under control!  You are and always were a survivor, so I know you can take this on.  I still believe in you!  And you're decision in taking some time off work is a good one.  Keep fighting that depression!  The more leeway you give it, the more it takes!  Like always, this too shall pass!

I hope we get a chance to catch up later, till then enjoy as much of the day as you can!  Cheers!

Hi Josie,

Thank you for your support. I have not reached my boss yet but I am sure I will soon.  But I have been trying to reach her since tuesday and I cannot and she won't call me back. Ah well, I will see how it goes. She might call me tomorrow.

Tomorrow I have my doctor's appointment. I will talk to her and get a medical paper for my work. So that is where I am at.

Thanks again for the support!

Diva,

Little bit of success here, congrats! You leave the house on your own, take the bus and go to work, fantastic!

You have great support and you have identified areas that you want to work on.  Yes, it is time to focus on you and how you can progress.  Check with your doctor and give him all the facts.  Less energy, sleeping more, medical papers.  Don't leave until you get the answers you need.

Try to continue on with the program as one of exercises and write down other items or activities that you can do.  Discuss a small plan with your doctor and take it from there.

We are very proud of your success'!

Hi guys,

Well, for now, my anxiety is pretty close to being under control.  Not only do I leave the house alone, I go out on my own, I take the bus, work etc...

I have been missing a lot of work though. But that has to do with my depression which is what is plaguing me most at the moment. This Friday I go see my doctor.

I have decided (after speaking with my mother and my husband) that I will ask my doctor for a medical paper for my boss and I will stop working as much or all together for a while until I get over this burn-out.

Lately I sleep 12-14 hours a day easily and I have trouble getting through the day. I tend to sleep 8-10 hours and then later nap for 4 hours. I can't get through a whole day without extra sleep.

And the thing is that I cannot seem to do the stuff that makes me feel better because I have no energy left over from working and such. And I want time and energy to do stuff that helps me feel better and more like me.

But I feel guilty. I feel lame for taking time off from work.  But I think it will be the best decision in the long run. At least I hope so.

Hiya Gene!

Thanks for dropping in and saying hi. I am glad you understand the pet peeve thing. I guess we really do all have our things to conquer! I am also like you about feeling sick. It makes me feel freaked out! As for my hubby doing all the repair work, I doubt that will happen! But no biggie. Me and him are working on our thing and I think it is getting better.

Hiya Sarah,

Yes, it was a great day! Thanks for the support!

Hey Diva

I haven't read your posts for a while so I am glad to see that you ad your hubby are doing ok. Don't worry we all have our pet peeves that come with anxiety. Mine is still traffic. I can have a perfect day but I come home feeling so much anxiety after the evening traffic. Also being sick. I had a cold this weekend. Nothing too bad but being sick reminded me of the feeling of being so depressed and anxious. I had that pit in my stomach. That totally hollow feeling. But at least still no panic.

You should get your hubby to do all the repair work!! After all what are men good for!!!!!!

Diva,

Sounds like you had such a nice day with your family!

Although it may be difficult to challenge the fears of having strangers in the house, it sounds like you were able to confront those thoughts and deal with them successfully. What a great feeling that must be! What made this time different from past experiences? Did you use any specific strategies that helped you manage?

These accomplishments should not be ignored! Perhaps try rewarding yourself for these advances?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend Diva!

My hubby's friend came and knocked at the door to say hello. Guess what, I did not spontaneously combust!   Go figure! Irrational really is the best word for this! Well, off for a nap!

Thanks for the encouragement Ashley! And you have a great long weekend too!

Yesterday was a great day! I got up, got ready in my "artwork clothes" and went for brunch at my mom's. We had a great brunch with her, her husband and some of my nieces. Then, after lunch, we had an art project. We painted and made some valentine cards and had a lot of fun. Then I helped my mom with supper and my husband joined us for supper. After we went home and my husband watched movies with me all night! It was really nice! And I did not even need a nap all day!

Now, today I am tired but no matter. Thing that bugs me is that I realize that however far I have come with this anxiety and depression thing, there still is a lot of work to do... For example, at the moment, my husband has a friend from work over. As such, I am hiding in my bedroom? Why you might ask? BEcause since childhood I have had an irrational reaction to strangers in my house! Why? Not sure... So now, because of my own craziness, I have effectively cloistered myself in my room till said stranger departs from my home. My husband must think I am a loon. Well, then again this is nothing new to him. At moments like this I feel bad for him. Well, I feel bad for me too hahaha! I know this is crazy and irrational, I just can't help it! Well, that is not true. I guess I could get dressed and go out there and face the stranger in my house. But I frankly prefer not to. I am not sure why. I deal well enough with people outside my house, I just can't stand having them inside My house! Drives me crazy! I have trouble letting repair men in! And I need them! I think it just makes me feel invaded and unsafe. Oh I don't know...

Well since I am stuck in my room, I will finish up here and go for a nap! Later guys!
