When you posted about that song that is a cover of Over the Rainbow and what a wonderful world, it reminded me of how much I love it and how much peace it brings me. So thank you.
I actually found a little home made video of it the other day and put it as my motivational video on my blog here. At this time in my life where I am drowning in frief, it comforts me very much. so thank you for reminding me of that song.
A song that seems to help me as an old classical song called "The Lonely Shepherd". Also known for the Kill Bill Vol. 1 song at the ending credits.
I remember this song from when I was a child. A small video on a movie channel known as Star Channel. The animation was small white dots that formed shapes. And as the song starts out, it begins in an east indian palace. The saltun walks over to this bird cage, and in this cage is a bird...he lets the bird out, and slowly the bird tranforms into a man with wings and he begins to dance around.
HA!!!DM thats funny!!!..I have the chili peppers too. The Black eyed Peas, have a lot of songs that are great for walking. PUMP IT UP is great, try that for walking:)
I love Chili Peppers and Green Day too. But THE song that helped me through my rough times was Somewhere Over the Rainbow sang by IZ (Hawaiian singer covering the Oz song and Louis Armstrong).
Ok.. I'm laughing as I too have "Eye of the Tiger"..ha ha!
As for other music...
I love to listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2 & Green Day. All have songs that rev me up, motivate me, keep me moving and my mind free of any other thoughts...
For relaxing I LOVE Sara McLachlan...
I'm also a Rock n Roll Junkie... and anything from my highschool days...late 80's early 90's.
