lady, Have you tried working with the program? By writing in your journal and diary you may be able to pinpoint areas you need assistance with. Take the anxiety test and give a copy to your doctor. This may also better assess the situation for you both. Take the time to look around and use the tools and tips to guide you. We are always here to help you challenge your thoughts and for support. This post was pretty old but wanted to reply anyway in case you are still reading. I have a phobia about vomiting. It's been the core of a revolving anxiety disorder. After years of stripping away the anxiety- I am still left w/that fear stronger than ever. I was able to come to terms with it myself somewhat but then had kids. Now it's back 10x worse. I am a normal happy mom most of the time but when they even utter the words tummy ache I have a full blown panic attack and just lose it. I have had such a hard time w/this one- how does one do exposure work for this you know?? You can't throw up a little!! Anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!!

It's funny you brought this up. Just a few days ago I had anxious feelings about vomiting. It was brought on by what I had just eaten (possibly undercooked eggs). I was very scared of the prospect of vomiting. Fortunately, I did not vomit. Later that day I started thinking about this fear and how irrational it was. I don't know anyone who has died of vomiting. In fact, for a whole year, my brother vomited every morning (oddly enough, the doctors' still can't figure out why), and he got through it just fine. Can you go into more detail about your fear of vomiting? What is it about vomiting that scares you?
