There is a site called drugs.com where you can get all the information you need on drug interactions, including vitamins and foods. I find it very useful you can also put in a list of all your meds and any vitamins or foods you are concerned with and you can save it also so you can edit it any time. Hope this is some help to you. Careful with the B complex large doses can make you worse. Magnesium should be balanced with calcium. No iron with calcium. No calcium with meals. It binds to iron. Over a long period can cause anemia.

I am thinking of starting on magnesium as a result of meeting with my Naturopath.. as well as a B complex..

Lol, I learned the basics of what your talking about back when I worked at a computer store, of all places.  A lot of older folks came through and informed me of how certain vitamins require others to work, other vitamins can cancel each other out, etc. etc...but I'm far from knowing the specifics you detail, so thanks for the knowledge man!

yes be very carefull on what supplements you take b complex makes me a little on edge but is tolerable for me, but folic acid supplements make me extremely anxious.Magnesium and fish oils are good omega fatty acids but you would want to get on a plan because one vitamin only works with the other nutrients present so if you take 500mg of maganese you would have to find another vitamin to work with it basicly what im saying is one vitamin is most likely not going to ease the nerves but in addition to excercise and other changes on a diet plan it can be benificial.Also what works for me might not work for you.st.johns wort is very benificial in mild to moderate depression but you cant take it with other meds unless advised by a M.D and trust me the net has gobs of vitamin supplements to cure anything so use caution.And usualy your body will crave what nutrients your missing.I used to eat alot of sweets did some research if you crave em all the time its because your looking for that extra boost and 9 out of 10 people that crave em are in a state of depression.children being the 1 percent, plus they usually dont finish the sucker or candy bar anyway it ends up stuck to your shoe as your walking out the door lol

You may want to consult your doctor about supplementing your diet with vitamins.  There are many vitamins including calcium, magnesium, and B vitamins that help reduce anxiety.  These vitamins help improve mood and assist in muscle relaxation.  Members, are any of you taking vitamin supplements to help with your anxiety?

as well as food is there any good vitamins that anyone can recommened please?, im gonna try the chamomile tea but im a vegetarian, dont like salad/greens/nuts or many fruit n veg and just relising now after reading this post that maybe my diet has something to do with my anxiety as well, so any advice on vitamins i could be taking would be great thanks
