Having a rough time of it lately...

Hi guys, thanks soo mch for replying to me. I have been trying to implement your suggestions. I am trying to take time for me and still get things done. It is a hard walk along a very fine line here but I am doing ok. I have had a few good days which helped. Mostly I am trying to cut myself some slack. Not so good at that. Thank you again guys for the great suggestions :) Sylvie: Yes I am logged in but sometimes I experience issues posting anyway. -Diva

Hi Diva: hang in there-it sounds like you are trying your best. Maybe try chunking your time-an hour of studying and then a half hour of free time. Maybe a written schedule at the start of the day would help?Take care.

Hey Diva. Sorry you're feeling down. It sucks to feel like you're getting behind. Sounds like you feel like you're in a "catch-22" situation where you need some time to be kind to yourself to feel better, but if you take that time, you will feel worse as you'll be further behind. Could you take some "me" time (i.e. rest/watch a funny show, go for a walk) but make a commitment to also do a small amount of schoolwork each day (i.e. 1 hr of studying/essay writing) so that you won't feel so bad? Hope this helps. Take care

I feel scared because I am not sure what to do. Do I push myself harder to catch up so I don't feel anxious but then feel more tired and sadder? Do I rest and get even more behind but then feel anxious and guilty? I feel like I am stuck in a catch 22 situation and there is no way out... Sorry for the many posts am having trouble with posting... -Diva

I am used to putting a lot of efforts into things. But lately everything feels like a burden. I have to write papers and work and study for exams and it all makes me want to cry. I am so tired and everything feels so heavy. I wish I could take a break but I can't. I only have to manage to get to April but I don't know that I will. I am so exhausted. -Diva

I have seen my therapist and spoken with him since my last post. I am not doing so well. And that scares me. I am used to doing what needs to be done and getting my stuff well done. But lately I am always sad and have no energy for anything. Then I get late or behind on things and feel anxious. But I know I am late because I am too sad and tired and unmotivated to do them in the first place.

I think the happy list is a pretty good idea. I can see hw it might help. Making a list of projects I want to accomplish makes me feel burdened and like I just want to lie down under my bed and cry. I am so exhausted...I just can't seem to get energy to do what needs to be done. I didn't even want to get up to go to my therapist today...Then I remembered going there helps me feel better. But that is one of the things bothering me. There is a ton of things I have to do before the end of April and I don'T want to anymore. I know deep down I want theese things done and that I will feel good when they are but I am so sad and tired and I can't seem to want to do them at all. I feel like I have little motivation for anything let alone have motivation for things that are quite that difficult. Anyway, I should go, I don't want to be late for my therapists. But thanks for the happy list idea. I think it is a very good idea. I used to have a happy book. I am going to dig it up and see if I can't upkeep it. -Diva
