Well, I personally cannot take Paxil because of the fact I am allergic to the medication class it is a part of and as such may not take it. But I have heard great things about Paxil. I have a relative who took it. She reported minimum side effects if not any. She said it really helped her. From what I hear, Paxil really is one of the better meds out there; if I wasn't allergic I would give it a go lol. Also, well it is not Paxil but it is in the same meds family, Zoloft, I know a person (one of my relatives who shall remain nameless lol) has taken for years now, she is at the minimum dose now and she is doing so well. Anyway, I know I sound pro-pill lol It is not that I am pro-pill but I am not anti-pill either. I believe that taking pills appropriately as needed and prescribed by your doctor along with a form of psychotherapy can be beneficial if it helps you get in gear for facing your fear and starting to challenge your thoughts. Anyway, As I said I can't tell you of my experience with Paxil since I am allergic to that kind of meds but people I know who took it felt it really helped them and helped also for them to calm down enough to start their therapeutic process. Hope this helps a bit.
