Misswrld04, You've received some great advice from your fellow members. I can only echo them: focus on exherting control over your anxious thoughts and breathing. Should symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor. Danielle ________________________ The PC Support Team

HI miss world. Isabella said it all! Try the breathing exercises, they do help. I also had numbness/tingly in the lips and arms and legs etc. The lip one really freaked me out cause it is fairly new to me...i thought I had an allergic reaction to something....i was so scared. But now that i read this post, i realize that it is a symptom of anxiety. Maybe you felt that way because you are afraid to doing something. When you went outside, where were you going? for a walk? to work? schooL? etc. Maybe subconsiously you were afraid of something. Its just a thought. hang in there girl. WE are all here for eachother!

Miss, Trust me, I have felt the exact same way. I did some research because my hands felt numb, my lips felt numb/tingly, and even my feet felt numb. I worried that I had MS or that I was having a stroke too but what I found is that irregular breathing patterns/hyperventilation actually cause those symptoms, along with dizziness and chest pain. Your breathing may be shallow or irregular from the anxiety and you may not even know it, atleast that was the case with me. I started doing breathing exercises daily and now I no longer get the numbness/tingling. I am not dismissing what you are saying but this worked for me and it may work for you. I just inhale thru the nose to a count of 5 or 6, hold for a few seconds, slowly exhale thru the mouth to a count of 7 to 8. You have to do this whenever you feel anxious or even when you don't and it eventually starts to work after several days. I mean, it's worth a shot. It also lowers blood pressure too. I wouldn't worry too much that something is wrong medically, our anxiety has a way of reinventing itself to keep our fear alive. Just as we get used to the symptoms, they evolve, and the cycle continues LOL! Hope you feel better and good luck with everything. Keep me posted ;)
